Ouantum VHF The Quantum serves as both an outstanding VHF, and the heart of your onboard communications system. When connected to a RAM+ microphone, it can serve as an intercom, and you can connect up to two RAM+ mics (sold separately), giving you three control stations with one radio! In addition to DSC-capable VHF functions, the Quantum has a 30W loudhailer with four pre-programmed fog signals, bells and whistles plus ‘listen back‘ to amplify sounds. Unlike most VHFs with PA functions, you can monitor a VHF channel while using the PA mode. PA functions can be controlled from the RAM÷ mic, too. The Quantum also has Standard s position polling feature, which shows you the GPS position of another boat right on the radios, RAM+ or chartplotter screen. Naturally, the Quantum has all the scanning features you need to customize your listening, including NOAA Weather Alert to keep you informed of changing weather.
